Automated Gates

Automated or Electric gates are an easy way to ensure security. For those who find the security of their premises (be it residential or commercial) important, electric gates are the way to go. Automatic gates have become very affordable and aside from the basic gates, there are now many features that can be added to ensure security.

Automated Doors

Automatic entrance doors are very common place today and there are numerous options and specifications that need to be considered when choosing the right automatic door. If the door is also a fire door then the provisions of BS 5588 (fire precautions in the design, construction and use of buildings) must also adhered to.

Automated Garage Doors

Automatic Garage Doors or Electric Garage Doors are now much more affordable as well as beneficial to everyone, easy to use, convenient and secure.
Four different types of garage doors: Roller Garage Doors, Sectional Garage Doors, Retractable Garage Doors and Canopy Garage Doors.

Do you need Force Testing?

Servicing is a very important and an integral part of any automated gate installation, in fact servicing can dramatically reduce the overall running costs, by scheduling routine preventive maintenance for such systems.

At Lords Automation we provide a service schedule when the gates are installed at your premises. This should tell you the frequency of any maintenance required, however as a general rule automated gates should be maintained every six months on commercial premises (i.e: apartment blocks or business premises) and a yearly service is advised for low usage gate ways  such as private residences where not more than 4,380 manoeuvres a year are expected (equivalent to twelve operations a day).

Why you should automate your gates?

Electric gates can enhance a property both from a security point of view and from a street appeal point of view.
Convenience of opening and closing your gates with a remote control or sensor without having to leave your vehicle (this is most useful at night or in bad weather).
Visitors will usually use an intercom at the gateway to contact you before you let them in, this helps prevent unwanted callers and hawkers.

Electric gates have irreversibly geared motors making it difficult for burglars to force open the gates. Having your gates automated increases the investment made to your property, with the extra style and exclusivity of automatically operating gates. It's possible to automate existing gates too, so you've no need to purchase an entirely new system.
